Gouffre de Padirac is a cave located near Gramat, in the Lot department. This cave system is regarded as an extraordinary natural phenomena and is the most visited cave in France

The chasm is 99 m around the rim with a diameter of 35 m. Visitors descend 75 m via a lift or a staircase before entering the cave system. It contains a subterranean river system that is partly negotiable by boat to see several spectacular settings with amazing limestone formations as well as cave pools

It is quite an experience for children and adults. In high season it is advisable to reserve. Although it is only 60 miles from Le Seguinet, it is an hour and forty min drive. It is a good out for the day.
